The North American Guild of Beer Writers (NAGBW) will hold its annual competition for journalists, bloggers, authors, podcasters, and broadcasters this summer. Anyone is eligible to enter their work. The 2021 NAGBW Awards will accept entries from Sunday, July 25 to Saturday, Aug. 21.
The NAGBW Awards honor the best beer and brewing industry coverage in 14 categories, ranging from newspaper and magazine stories to podcasts. Anonymous feedback will be solicited from judges so entrants can enhance their skills and work.
With its annual writing competition, the Guild aims to broaden the conversation about beer and brewing, raise the standards of writing, provide leadership, and offer inspiration for journalists, while also encouraging and supporting more participation throughout all media channels.
Deadline to apply: Saturday, Aug. 21. Entries for the 2021 competition must have been published between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021.

Fees are prorated for members at $15 per entry. Non-members pay $30 per entry. You must be a current paid member of the NAGBW to get the discount. To join the NAGBW, please allow 24 hours for your application to be processed at nagbw.org.
