A Chat with Jeff Alworth About The Beer Bible

A conversation with Jeff Alworth, NAGBW award-winning writer and author. We’ll be talking about the research, reporting, and writing it took to create the latest edition of The Beer Bible, and you can be a part of a Q&A to ask Jeff about beer culture, history, the process of book-writing/publishing, and more.

Our guest: Jeff Alworth writes about beer, cider, and occasionally, politics. His books include: The Beer Bible, The Widmer Way, The Secrets of Master Brewers, and Cider Made Simple. His books have twice been cited by the North American Guild of Beer Writers as Best Book, and in 2016 The Beer Bible was named best wine, spirits, or beer book by the International Association of Culinary Professionals. His blog, Beervana, was named the first place winner at the 2021 NAGBW awards, in which Jeff also earned first and second place in the best technical writing category. He also co-hosts the Beervana Podcast, where he and Oregon State University economics professor Patrick Emerson discuss beer and the economics of beer.
