Virtual Happy Hour: The Workers of Craft Beer with Eli Revelle Yano Wilson

Nov. 14
6 p.m. ET

Join fellow Guild members for a virtual happy hour with sociologist and author Dr. Eli Revelle Yano Wilson to discuss his newest book, “Handcrafted Careers: Working the Artisan Economy of Craft Beer.”

Wilson is an associate professor of sociology at The University of New Mexico. His research explores how work, race, and culture intersect in today’s changing economy. He is a former craft beer industry worker and Certified Cicerone, and is the author of two books in addition to “Handcrafted Careers”: “Beer and Society: How We Make Beer and Beer Makes Us,” and “Front of the House, Back of the House: Race and Inequality in the Lives of Restaurant Workers.”

This discussion will be led by NAGBW member Dave Infante, author of Fingers, a newsletter about drinking in America.
